APP DATA USAGE

OpenVPN Connect is used to create VPN tunnels that connect to Access Servers, Community OpenVPN Servers, and any other third-party service that works with the OpenVPN protocol.
OpenVPN Inc. does not have control over these servers, and the data policy of each of these servers are dependent on the owner or operator of the server. Please contact your server operator or server owner for their current data policy - it is your responsibility to know how your data is handled through a specific server operator. We are not responsible and have no control over servers run by companies or entities other than OpenVPN Inc. or Private Tunnel.

Logging Data Usage

The app maintains a log of normal operations on the local device. In some cases, our support personnel may ask you to use the "Share Log" feature to transmit a copy of the log to OpenVPN Inc. for analysis and troubleshooting.
The "Share Log" feature will copy the log to your email app, text editor app or any other app you choose - you should examine the log before sending it to OpenVPN and edit out any personal or sensitive information that you do not wish us to access. Sending the log requires an explicit action on your part, and any information you send to us
through this method may be retained in our support ticketing system for future reference, unless you explicitly request
to delete this information.

You can access all functions of the app without needing to login to our website http://www.openvpn.net.All documentation, guides and help are accessible anonymously without needing to login.
However if you need to file a support ticket or purchase an Access Server license, you will need to create a free account on http://www.openvpn.net. 

Personal Data on http://www.openvpn.net

We may ask for certain Personal Data to make services on openvpn.net available to you. We only ask for information
associated with your account or the administration. When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, phone number or payment information. OpenVPN will only ask for personal data only when you attempt to purchase a product or if you want to post a support ticket and receive support for one of our products.
If you do not need these services then you can use the site anonymously.
OpenVPN uses the collected Personal Data to provide and maintain our Services and provide customer support for our Services. OpenVPN will only use your Personal Data to provide you with news. special offers or general

What OpenVPN Discloses

Legal process disclosure:

Your Personal Data is never released to others, unless we are ordered by a court of competent jurisdiction to do so. OpenVPN never sells any Personal Data, usage information or any other information.

Civil Investigations:

OpenVPN will never release requested data for civil litigation unless commanded to do so by a court of competent jurisdiction in the matter. We will exercise all rights to restrict and protect user data.

Criminal Investigations:

OpenVPN cooperates fully with law enforcement agencies when presented with a valid subpoena issued through a competent court of law. In such cases, OpenVPN provides only the minimum required information regarding users identifying information and no more.
When an investigation is criminal in nature, OpenVPN would not be able to disclose the fact of the investigation to the service user.

Third Party Payment Processors (http://www.openvpn.net):

If you choose to sign up on http://www.openvpn.net and if you purchase Access Server licenses, you may be asked for payment information. 

We use third-arty services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors). If you use a credit card that information will be collected by the payment processor. We do not collect or store your credit card number.

Consumer Rights:

OpenVPN takes reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your Personal Data. Whenever made possible, you can update your Personal Data directly within your account settings section. If you are unable to change your Personal Data, please contact us and we will make the requested changes for you. If you wish to be removed from our systems, please contact us at privacy@openvpn.net
