삼성 노트북 복원 과정을 알아보자. 2007년 이전 출시 제품들은 주로 복원 솔루션 I (Phoenix 라이센스) 이 사용되었다. 노트북 전원 버튼을 누르고 F4 버튼을 연타한다. 그러면 아래의 복원 솔루션 화면으로 들어간다. 만약 아래 화면이 나오지 않으면 복원솔루션의 MBR(Master Boot Record)가 깨진 것이다.
① 출하상태 복원 ② 정적 복원 ③ 동적 복원 의 3가지를 선택할 수 있다. 여기서 공장 출하상태로 깔끔하게 복원해보자.
"계속진행" 버튼을 클릭한다.
"동의함"을 클릭한다.
그러면, 복구 과정이 시작된다. 대략 25 분정도 걸린다.
이제 공장 출하 상태 복구가 끝났다. 재부팅 하면 OK.

쿨러없는 775 CPU를 하나 분양받았다. 기존에 쓰던 CPU 쿨러를 빼서 장착하려고 보니 세월이 세월인지라 쿨러 푸쉬핀이 노후되어 부러져버렸다. "머~ 대충 쓰지 ~" 하면서 조립을 했는데 이게 웬일?
컴퓨터 전원을 인가하면 몇 초 지나지 않아 꺼져버리는 거였다. 처음에는 분양받은 CPU가 문제인줄 알았다. (사실 CPU는 핀이 부러지는 경우를 제외하고는 거의 고장나지 않는다.) 그런데 알고보니 쿨러 푸쉬핀이 하나 부러져서 그 부분이 밀착이 안되 열을 식혀주지 못하는 거였다. 원래 쓰던 531 CPU (32비트만 지원) 장착 후에도 컴퓨터가 꺼져버리는 문제가 똑같이 발생해 쿨러문제임을 알게 되었다. 쿨러핀만 파는가 해서 옥션을 일단 뒤져보았다. 검색어는 "Push Pin" . ㅋㅋ 근데 가격이 2000 원이다. 플라스틱 쪼가리가 이렇게 비싸다니.. 775 쿨러는 얼마한가 뒤져보니 2500 원. ㅋㅋ 그냥 쿨러사기로 결정.
쿨러 2500 원 + 택배비 2500 원 = 5000 원 (지방에 살면 택배비는 어쩔 수 없다.)
핀은 아래 사진에서 보이는 대로 4PIN 이고, 쵸코파이형(=슬림형)은 아니고 두꺼운 타입(펜티엄 D 전용)이다.
하단 써멀 패드 부분이 구리 부분으로 되어 있어 알루미늄보다 열전도율이 훨씬 좋다. 지금까지 출시된 CPU중 펜티엄 D 가 가장 발열 온도가 높다. 즉 바꿔말하면 펜티엄 D 에서 사용되는 쿨러가 가장 효율이 좋다는 말이 된다. 흔히 정품 CPU 의 경우 쿨러 하단 부분이 구리로 되어 있고, 벌크 제품의 경우는 하단 부분이 알루미늄으로 되어 있다.
장착시 CPU에 써멀 컴파운드 바르는 것 잊지 말자. 써멀 컴파운드를 바르면 온도가 5~7 도는 더 내려간다. 사진은 멈춰있는 것처럼 나왔는데 지금 CPU 팬이 돌고 있다.
Del 키를 눌러 BIOS 로 진입후 CPU 온도 확인 화면이다. 현재 CPU 온도가 45도, 1674 RPM 이다.
이제 꺼지지 않고 정상적으로 잘 동작한다. ㅎㅎㅎ

실수로 삭제된 파일을 복구하는 방법은 여러가지가 있다. WinHex 로도 복구할수 있는데, 그보다는 훨씬 직관적인 NTFS Undelete_v0.94 (프리웨어)를 추천한다. 최신 버전은 인터페이스도 별로일뿐만 아니라, 쉐어웨어로 바뀌었다.
